Perennial herb of the St. John’s wort family, 80-90 cm high. The flowers are large, golden-yellow, collected in a broad-panicle inflorescence. Blossoms in June-August; bears fruit in August-September. Propagated by seeds, which are sown directly into the ground. He prefers well-fertilized soils. Seeds are sown in loose soil before winter or early spring. The aboveground mass is removed during the period of mass flowering. Raw materials are dried under a canopy in a dry, well-ventilated room or in dryers. John’s wort has long been a folk remedy that has won recognition in scientific copper.
