Suitable for all regions. Mid-season (112 days) high-yielding carrot variety of the Nantes type. Root crops are cylindrical, blunt-pointed, red-orange, weighing up to 200 g and a length of 20-22 cm. The pulp is juicy, tender, sweet, the core is small, tightly connected to the pulp. Botvan is small. Intended for fresh consumption and processing. Differs in excellent keeping quality of root crops. To obtain early production, it is recommended to sow before winter in late October – early November. Growing conditions. Sowing in March-April in grooves to a depth of 2-3 cm. The distance between rows is 18-20 cm. 2 weeks after germination, the carrots are thinned out. The second thinning is carried out when the roots reach 1 cm in diameter, leaving 5-6 cm between the plants. Further care consists in weeding, loosening, watering. Winter crops are carried out, when the temperature drops to 5 ° C. (second half of October – early November). Seeds are planted to a depth of 1-2 cm, the surface of the site is mulched with peat.
