Medicinal rosemary is an evergreen semi-shrub 0.20-0.80 m high. The branches are covered with narrow, linear, curled at the edges, below with white-tomentose leaves. In the axils of narrow leaves, bluish or purple flowers with a two-lipped corolla are collected in tassels. Medicinal rosemary improves digestion and is highly irritating to the skin. In folk medicine it is used for baths, rosemary essential oil is used for rubbing, strengthens the nerves and dilates blood vessels. Rosemary has a healing effect on low blood pressure, nervous disorders, feelings of tension, in states of general exhaustion and sexual weakness. It helps to increase the secretion of gastric juice, has a beneficial effect on the general activity of the stomach and intestines. GROWING CONDITIONS: Rosemary is sown for seedlings in February-March. Seedlings appear in 15-20 days. Seed germination is usually low – about 50%. Landing in the ground – after the last frost. Blooms from June to August. It grows on any soil, except for excessively moistened soils. Rosemary is very picky about light. Can also be grown as a houseplant.
