An evergreen shrub from the Lamiaceae family. A plant with straight, densely leafy shoots. Leaves are linear, curled around the edge, glossy on top. The flowers are melliferous, small, light blue and purple, located in the axils of the upper leaves. Rosemary blooms from March to May. Often secondary flowering in autumn (September-October). Drought-resistant, demanding of light and sensitive to frost. In the temperate zone, it is recommended to grow it in pots or tubs. Place in unheated light rooms for the winter. Seeds are sown for seedlings in March-April. Seedlings appear unevenly, within 2 months. Seedlings are planted in open ground in late May and early June. Leaves and young shoots begin to be harvested in July-August. In a small amount, rosemary is added to fruit salads, hot vegetable and meat dishes, and brewed into tea.
