Radish ‘Würzburg 59’ is a selection variety of the Nizhny Novgorod State Agricultural Experimental Station. Approved for use in the Northwest, North Caucasian, Middle Volga and Lower Volga regions since 1957. Recommended for outdoor cultivation. The variety is resistant to flowering. Sizes and growth form: The rosette of representatives of the variety ‘Würzburg 59’ is spreading, loose, 10–18 cm high, 20–25 cm in diameter, 5–8 leaves. Lyre leaf, dissected into 3-4 pairs of small lateral triangular lobes. The upper lobe is large, rounded or rounded-oval. The color of the leaves is green. Petiole 3.4–4.5 cm long, 0.5 cm thick, green, sometimes with red anthocyanin pigmentation, almost without pubescence. The leaf blade has rare pubescence above and below. Size, shape and color: Round root crop, 3.3–4.0 cm long, 3.0–3.9 cm in diameter, 14–17 g in weight. The surface is smooth. The color is red-crimson. The pulp is white and pinkish-white, juicy, does not flake for a relatively long time. Root crops are almost completely submerged in the ground. Taste: Root vegetables have a good, sweet, without bitterness taste. Ripening and productivity: Radish ‘Würzburg 59’ refers to varieties of medium ripening (mid-season). The period from full germination to the onset of technical ripeness is 25–35 days. Marketable yield 0.7–1.7 kg / m2. Würzburg 59 ‘is a medium-ripening variety (mid-season).
