Pine cep, early form (Boletus pinicola f. Praecox). Edible gourmet mushroom. It is considered a seasonal form of the pine porcini mushroom. The cap is relatively small, often fissured, of a pale brownish or light ocher color without a red tint. It differs from the pine form in brownish, not red flesh under the skin of the cap. The most famous mushroom is in Germany and Russia.
