Mustard leaf Volnushka is a cold-resistant, early ripening plant. Within a month, it develops a large rosette of large green leaves. Young leaves are used fresh for preparing salads and as a side dish for meat and fish dishes, boiled, and also salted and canned. Mustard leaf stimulates appetite, enhances the secretion of gastric juice and bile, has anti-inflammatory and antiseptic effects. Sowing: before winter, early spring or late summer, both in open and protected ground. For conveyor cultivation of greens, they are sown every 1-2 weeks. The best harvest is obtained when sowing in early spring or at the end of August (with short daylight hours and cold weather, shooting slows down). Care: consists in loosening, weeding, watering and feeding. With insufficient moisture and thickening of crops, the leaves become coarse and the plants form flower-bearing shoots prematurely. Harvesting: fresh greens are harvested 25-30 days after germination (before the appearance of peduncles).
