Herbaceous plant. Bushes are oblong-rounded, 30-80 cm tall, with tuberous, swollen roots. Stems are erect, densely branched, reddish, woody in the lower part. The flowers are funnel-shaped, up to 2.5 cm in diameter, white, yellow, orange, crimson, purple, bright red or bicolor, 3-5 cupped each, collected in corymbose inflorescences at the ends of the shoots, fragrant. Open from 4 pm and open until the next morning. Light and heat-loving, drought-resistant plant. With prolonged drought, it stops development and flowering. The plant is easily propagated by seeds, which are sown in a greenhouse in March-April. Seedlings are planted in open ground after the threat of frost has passed.
