Perennial essential oil-bearing herb of the Yasnotkovye family, up to 85 cm high. The leaf is medium-sized, ovoid, green, slightly wrinkled, serrated along the edges. Leaves and young shoots, cut before flowering, are used as a spice. Dried leaves can be added to the filling when stuffing fish or poultry, for flavoring tea, liqueurs and drinks, when salting cucumbers and tomatoes. It is appreciated for its strong lemon aroma, high yield of green mass. They grow in one place for 3-5 years.
