An annual plant of the Asteraceae family. Stems are erect, up to 25 cm tall, strongly branched from the base, lateral shoots are deflected. Inflorescences – baskets 6 cm in diameter, original shape. Up to 35 inflorescences open at the same time. It can be sown in open ground in late May – early June. Shoots appear on the 5-10th day. It is advisable to cover the soil with non-woven material (acrylic, lutrasil). In this case, you can sow a week and a half earlier than usual, and thereby accelerate flowering. Seedlings are sown in early April. Blooming will begin in June. Marigolds planted next to garden crops reduce their damage to fungal diseases, especially fusarium, and protect against some types of nematodes. Marigolds are used in all types of flower beds. They grow well in pots, flowerpots, balcony boxes, in combination with primroses and cineraria.
