Lollo Bionda salad forms a medium-sized rosette, weighing 250-300 grams. An adult plant has tender, corrugated, very decorative green leaves. This variety is resistant to shooting. Suitable for year-round cultivation in open ground and greenhouses. The best predecessors for salad in the garden are cabbage, potatoes, under which organic fertilizers were applied. Lettuce seeds are sown in open ground in April-May, to a depth of 1-1.5 cm. For head-forming salads, the distance between rows should be 25-30 cm. To obtain a continuous lettuce harvest, sowing is repeated every 2-4 weeks. When dense shoots appear, the plantings are thinned twice: in the phase of one true leaf at a distance of 5-7 cm and 2-3 weeks after sowing, leaving a distance of 25-30 cm between the plants. Watering is carried out in large doses at the root. To keep plants fresh, lettuce harvesting should be done late in the evening or early in the morning.
