Herbaceous plant of the Clove family, up to 80-100 cm high. The flowers are fiery red with a diameter of 1.5 cm, collected in a corymbose-capitate inflorescence up to 10 cm in diameter. Blooms in July – August. Winter-hardy and unpretentious, grows on any loose soil, prefers open sunny places, does not tolerate stagnant water. Used in group plantings, flower beds, mixborders, for decorating walls and hedges. Propagated by seeds; dividing the bush – the division is carried out in the spring; cuttings – cuttings are planted on shaded ridges.
