Microgreens are young plants in the phase of the first pair of true leaves, when they have the maximum concentration of vitamins, mineral and other biologically active substances, carotenoids that neutralize free radicals. Young leaves of special vegetable crops diversify and complement the diet, decorate salads and any other dishes. Microgreens are valued for their unique combination of essential oils, vitamins, carotene and minerals. Microgreen sprouts are a natural source of iodine and vitamin C. It has a very intensive effect on the metabolism in the body, promotes the elimination of cholesterol and an increase in hemoglobin levels. The aroma and light nutty-mustard taste makes it popular as a spicy side dish for meat and fish dishes, as an additive to salads from vegetables, fruits, cheese, and seafood. Grown all year round. Low, wide containers can be used to obtain microgreens. Fill the selected container with a sterile growing medium for growing seedlings or indoor plants. Spread the seeds over the surface with a distance of about 0.5 cm and sprinkle with a layer of substrate 0.3-0.5 cm. Moisten well with a sprayer. When grown in a special container “Germinator for seeds” of microgreening, the soil is not used. Place the container with seeds in a warm and bright place. From sowing to harvesting, keep at room temperature and constant humidity. When supplemented, the sprouts will be stronger and contain more vitamins. Microgreens are ready to eat with the first pair of true leaves. The plants are carefully cut with scissors at the soil level and used in various dishes. For regular microgreening, sowing is carried out every two weeks.
