Herbaceous annual plant of the Astrov family. The bushes are slightly spreading, reaching 30-40 cm in height. The flowers are collected in inflorescences – baskets with very bright and numerous leaves of a wrapper of white, pink, yellow, orange or red color of various shades. Blooms profusely from July to frost. Prefers open, sunny places. Propagated by seeds, which are sown in late March – early April for seedlings. Seedlings appear one week after sowing. Seedlings are planted in a permanent place after spring frosts, maintaining a distance between plants of 15-20 cm. It is used in landscaping (flower beds, rabatki), as well as for cutting as the best dried flowers.
