A perennial plant from the Malvov family, cultivated as a biennial, up to 2-2.5 m high. It blooms from late June to September. Flowers of the most delicate pink color, 8-12 cm in diameter, collected in a large, spectacular inflorescence-brush. Photophilous and drought-resistant, undemanding to soils, but prefers areas with well-cultivated fertile soil. It is advisable to cover for the winter. Grown by direct sowing in open ground in May. It is used for planting in groups, mixborders, for decorating walls of buildings and hedges, as well as for getting a cut.
