Common chervil is an annual herbaceous plant, 50-70 cm high. The stem is erect, rounded, Leaves are multi-pinnate, on long petioles. The flowers are small, white or pale pink, collected in umbrellas. It is used as a medicinal plant for diseases of the liver, gallbladder, kidneys, etc. Due to its delicate aroma, which combines the smell of fennel, anise and parsley, the plant is widely used in cooking. It is usually consumed fresh. Growing conditions: Sow in March – April. The seeding depth is 1-2 cm. Seedlings appear in 12-16 days. Upon reaching a height of 5 cm, the seedlings are thinned out, leaving a distance between plants of 15-20 cm. Shade-tolerant. Prefers light, well-drained, lime-rich loams. Care consists in keeping the soil loose and free from weeds. Blooms in May – August.
