It does not tolerate shading well; it is highly discouraged to use fresh manure as a fertilizer – when applied, carrots form twisted root crops with many roots. The first thinning is done after two weeks, and the second – when the diameter of the root crop reaches one centimeter. For winter crops, it is best to plant seeds to a depth of 1.5-2 cm, and also mulch them with peat.
