A very popular unpretentious, cold-resistant annual of the Asteraceae family. Light-loving and drought-resistant plant 50-60 cm high, branched, compact. Inflorescences are large, 7-10 cm in diameter, densely double, tiled, pearlescent pink in color. Sowing dates are extended from April to October. To accelerate flowering, they are sown in April for seedlings, in May – directly into the ground with nests at a distance of 15-25 cm; during the summer – for later flowering. Sown before winter for flowering in June. It blooms 45-50 days after germination. It reproduces easily by self-seeding. Calendula is widely used in gardening and for cutting, for medicinal and food purposes.
