A productive mid-season variety of basil with large, corrugated, green leaves. It is very well known in Europe under the name Napolitano “LETTUCE-LEAF”, as its leaves are similar to lettuce. Young greens can be plucked 30-35 days after germination. Flowering occurs in 60-70 days. The plant is compact, 35-40 cm high. The product has a spicy, sweetish taste and aroma. It is used in cooking, fresh and dried, for pickling, flavoring oils, vinegar and drinks. In the middle lane, they are grown through seedlings, in the southern regions – by direct sowing of seeds in open ground to a depth of 1.5-2 cm. Shoots 10-12 cm long are cut several times before flowering.
