Astra Beretta red is a cold-resistant annual plant. The variety tolerates frosts well enough down to -4 degrees. The form is columnar, it grows to a height of 75 cm. The inflorescences in the center have narrowly tubular flowers adjoining tightly to each other. The marginal part consists of elongated flowers that roll into tubes. The flowers are bright red in various shades. The flowering period is from the beginning of August until the onset of frost. It is grown as a seedling method in fertile soils in well-lit areas. Sowing depth – 5-6 cm. Seeds are planted in March, dive after the development of the first leaves. Sowing is covered with sawdust or peat. This makes the plants frost-hardened.
