Gypsophila graceful (Gypsophila elegans) is an annual, spherical, strongly branching plant, 40-50 cm high, with small needle-like leaves and small (0.8-1 cm) white, pink, carmine flowers on thin pedicels. Abundant flowering, but short-lived. The plant is light and thermophilic, grows in sunny, dry places, undemanding to soils. A very fast growing plant. Propagated by seeds – by sowing in the ground: for summer flowering in April – May; for autumn bloom – in June. Blooms in 1.5-2 months after sowing. Used in mixborders and hanging planters.
