A set of seeds (dill, parsley, coriander, lettuce, mustard, spinach, carrots, beets, onions, radishes, etc.) for sowing before winter. Sowing in the fall has both pros and cons. Pros – early shoots and early harvest, soil saturated with winter moisture promotes germination. Ideal for seeds with essential oils and dense shells – spinach, sorrel, celery, cilantro, parsley, when sown before winter shoots are much more friendly and early. Saving time – in the spring there are a lot of urgent matters in the garden, and a garden bed ready in autumn will give you extra hours. But there are also disadvantages. An abnormally warm winter will ruin the harvest – the seeds will germinate, for example, in December, and then freeze. You can make a mistake with the landing time (more on that below). The key to success is just the right landing time. If it’s too early, the seeds will sprout and the plants will die. Too late – the soil will freeze or be covered with snow. It is necessary to sow in late autumn, after the onset of a steady cold snap and the temperature of the earth drops to -1-2 degrees.
