Chionodoxa luciliae, 25 pcs Chionodoxa is also called a snowman or snow beauty – for the early, almost still in the snow, flowering. Chiondox luciliae has blue-blue flowers with a white spot in the throat, up to 3.5 cm in diameter. Perennial low-growing plant from the Liliaceae family. The name comes from the Greek words chion – snow and doxa – glory, pride, for early flowering. The height of the chionodoxa is only 10-12 cm, sometimes it grows up to 15 cm. The leaves are dark green, broadly lanceolate, basal, 8-12 cm long, there are usually two of them and they appear in spring simultaneously with the buds. On the peduncle there are up to 15 flowers with a diameter of 1-3.5 cm, looking up and to the side. The inflorescence looks like a vertical loose raceme, the length of which is greater than the width. It takes up half the height of the entire plant. The plant is triploid and does not set seeds, however, it forms up to four baby bulbs annually on the bulb. Grown in open sunny areas in fertile, well-drained soil.
