The famous super hot pepper, which got into the Guinness Book of Records for its spiciness! The pepper was named after the capital of Cuba – Habanero – pepper from Havana. It is one of the hottest peppers in the world. On the Scoville scale, which characterizes the hotness of a pepper, it is estimated at 350,000 units (for comparison, Cayenne chili has 30,000 units). In addition to its pungency, Habanero has an exceptional aroma. Thanks to these qualities, it is used as a hot spice in numerous dishes and is included in many famous sauces (such as Tabasco). Habanero pepper – a perennial shrub – an excellent plant for container or pot culture. The plant is branched with small lanceolate leaves. Fruits are small – 3-4 cm long, up to 2 cm wide, on a long stalk, uneven conical shape, often with folds and wrinkles. The walls of the fruit are thin. In technical ripeness, the fruit is green, in biological ripeness it is orange.
