A spectacular perennial plant that any gardener can be proud of. The cultivation of this exotic does not require much trouble. Amicably and quickly grows from seed. Forms a powerful rosette of leaves with many large peduncles 100-120 cm high. It is not damaged by pests and diseases. Decorative throughout the season. It is used in mixed flower beds, near water bodies and against the background of a lawn. Suitable for cutting. Attracts bees and bumblebees. The mixture includes colors: yellow – 30%, salmon – 30%, red – 40%. Sowing seeds for seedlings in March – early April. Seedlings appear in 3 weeks. Seedlings in the phase of 2-3 true leaves dive, and from mid-June they are planted in a permanent place in the garden with a step of 30-40 cm. Plants grown from seeds bloom in the second year. Knifofia grows well and develops on fertile, drained neutral soils, in a sunny place. Easily tolerates drought with moderate watering. In the fall, the inflorescences are cut off, the leaves are tied in bunches. In the south, it winters with little or no cover. In more northern regions, the outlet is covered in an air-dry type (like roses). If there are conditions, then the bushes of knifofia can be dug up, transplanted into pots and removed for wintering in a cool room.
