A perennial herb grown as an annual. Stems are erect, branched, 60-70 cm tall. The leaves are small, lanceolate or elongated. The flowers are funnel-shaped with a tube up to 8 cm long, yellow in color, collected in a loose, paniculate inflorescence at the ends of flowering shoots. Blooms in June – September. Flowers open only at dusk and cloudy weather. Bears fruit. Gives abundant self-seeding. In the conditions of central Russia, tobacco is grown through seedlings; for this, the seeds are sown in March-April in boxes on the surface of the earth and are not sealed. Good results are given by early spring and winter sowing in the ground. Seedlings appear in 10-12 days. The first pick is carried out in boxes, the second – in 11 cm pots of 4 pieces. They are cold-resistant enough, but they are planted in open ground after the end of spring frosts, keeping the distance between plants 20-30 cm. You can dig up plants in autumn, plant in a pot, transfer to a light window, cut off peduncles with faded flowers, water sparingly. Then, in January-February, plants bloom in indoor conditions. Used in discounts and groups. In the cut, they stand for several days.
