Fresh greens in early spring. Cucumber herb is an annual herb with a delicate scent of fresh cucumber and a mild salty taste. The stem is branched, pubescent, 30-60 cm high. The lower leaves are petiolate, elliptical. The flowers are blue with a pink tint, collected in a thyroid-paniculate inflorescence. In folk medicine, a decoction of young leaves and flowers is used to calm the nervous system and when coughing. Flowers are used as a diuretic, anti-inflammatory agent. In cooking, fresh leaves and flowers are used, less often dried flowers. Cucumber herb is a good honey plant. Growing conditions: sowing in early spring or before winter. The seeding depth is 1.5-2 cm. To obtain fresh greens for a long period, sowing is carried out in several terms. Plants bloom from June to September.
