A large annual plant up to 180 cm high. From planting to the maturation of the leaves of the last breaking, 90-140 days pass. The flowers are pink, large. The leaves are dark green, smooth, fleshy, resinous, with a high nicotine content (leaf length up to 50 cm). Tobacco is used for cigarettes and pipes. Infusion of leaves and stems is an effective remedy for plant pest control. Can be grown as decorative. Sowing seedlings is carried out in late March and early April. Before sowing, the container is filled with slightly moist soil (three parts of sandy loam sod land and one part of well-rotted and sifted humus), the surface is compacted and leveled. The seeds are evenly distributed over the surface, slightly pressed into the substrate, moistened with a spray bottle and covered with a film. Crops are placed in a bright, warm place, watered through a pallet, ventilated every day (raise the film for 30 minutes). Young plants are planted in open ground in mid-late May at a distance of 50-70 cm. Collecting and drying of tobacco begins from mid-July. Tobacco is fermented before use (oxidation process – languishing, drying).
