A medicinal perennial plant with a strong pleasant aroma from the Labium family. Blooms from July to September. The plant is 40-60 cm high, with matte green ovoid leaves, covered with soft bristly hairs. Small crimson-pink flowers, collected in corymbose inflorescences. Seedlings are sown in March. Seedlings are planted in open ground in May – June, leaving 20-30 cm between plants, 50-60 cm between rows. Sowing seeds in open ground is carried out in May – June. For medicinal purposes, the aerial part is used, which is collected during flowering. Oregano infusion is used as an expectorant for respiratory diseases, for stimulating appetite and improving digestion, liver diseases, pulmonary tuberculosis, hypertension, convulsions, epilepsy, neuroses, for the treatment of gynecological diseases.
