Altai melon. Ideal for growing in Siberia. An early ripening high-yielding variety, resistant to high humidity, frost-resistant, which was originally created for the unstable climatic conditions of Siberia. The period from full germination to the first harvest of fruits is 65-75 days. The melon variety is characterized by oval fruits with an average weight of 800g to 1.5 kg. The surface of the fruit is mesh, rich yellow. The cortical layer is small, the pulp is granular, creamy, very sweet in taste. The length of the lashes is average. Productivity is 5-6 kg per square meter. The variety is included in the State Register of the Russian Federation. Growing conditions. Sowing in late April – early May, when the soil warms up to + 15C, to a depth of 3-5 cm. Planting scheme 140 * 50 cm. It is also possible to grow in seedlings. Seedlings are planted in the ground after the threat of the last frost at the age of 3-4 true leaves. As it grows, the plant is formed into one stem, removing side shoots and leaving 2-3 ovaries on it. Further care consists in moderate watering, loosening, dressing and dusting the lashes to protect them from turning over by the wind.
