A perennial herb from the Lobelievye family, cultivated as an annual. Shoots are thin, creeping, up to 40 cm long. Abundant flowering from June to autumn. The flowers are blue, red, ruby, white up to 2 cm in diameter. Photophilous, moisture-loving and cold-resistant. Prefers loose and moderately fertile soils, watering is necessary during dry periods. Grown in seedlings. Seeds are sown in February-March. Seedlings appear in 9-10 days. Seedlings are planted in open ground in the second half of May. Used for planting in hanging pots and baskets, vases, balcony boxes.
