Common cucumber ‘Beregovoy’ is a variety bred at the Crimean experimental selection station of the All-Russian Research Institute of Plant Production. Approved for use in the Volga-Vyatka region in 1991. Recommended for outdoor cultivation. Size and shape of growth: Variety ‘Beregovoy’ is represented by long-leaved, indeterminate, well-leafy plants. The length of the main stem is 1.6–2.3 m, the number of branches of the first order is 3–6, of the second – 2–4. The leaf is green, medium-sized, pentagonal-rounded, slightly dissected. The surface of the plate is smooth. The edge is almost solid. The ovary is oval-cylindrical, 3.3 cm long, with a tuberous surface. Pubescence is rare, complex, black. Zelenets is oval-cylindrical, 10.8–12.3 cm long, 3.8–4.3 cm in diameter, weighing 85–90 g. On the cross section, the fruit is round-triangular. The color is green, with blurred white longitudinal stripes 1/3 of the length of the green. The surface is coarse, with sparse tubercles. Taste: Taste assessment of fresh fruits is excellent, canned – good. There is no bitterness in the fruit. Ripening and yield: The common cucumber ‘Coastal’ refers to the mid-early varieties. It begins to bear fruit on the 47–79th day after full germination. Pollinated by bees. Marketable yield is stable and amounts to 2.7–3.0 kg / m2. Disease resistance: The cultivar is resistant to powdery mildew and cucumber mosaic virus. It is quite strongly affected by downy mildew.
