Traditional variety. Medium late grade. The growing season is 87-160 days. Root crops from round to oval shape, weight 200-500 g. The skin is bright red, the pulp is tender, violet-red and light burgundy. Keeping quality of root crops during winter storage is good up to 98%. The variety is cold-resistant, drought-resistant. specially recommended for cooking borscht. GROWING CONDITIONS: seeds are sown into the ground at the end of April – beginning of May to a depth of 2-3 cm in rows with row spacing of 25-30 cm and a distance between seeds of 8-10 cm. Thinning is not required with this sowing pattern. Further care consists in loosening, regular watering and feeding.
