Shantane Royal is an early-maturing table carrot variety with good taste. Perfect for fresh consumption and for processing. Root vegetables with a small core and juicy sweet pulp. The variety is distinguished by a high carotene content, a long storage period, excellent transportability, fruit evenness and resistance to dry, brown rot, flowering. Sowing: the soil is loosened. The tape is placed in well-moistened grooves on a prepared bed, to a depth of 1.5-2 cm and covered with soil, watered. Before the emergence of shoots, the bed is covered with a film, maintaining the topsoil in a moist state (preventing the tape from drying out). Due to the ideal arrangement of seeds on the belt (at a distance of 3-3.5 cm), seedlings do not require thinning, and the plants can develop evenly. This minimizes carrot fly damage to root vegetables, as it is attracted to the carrot tops odor, which is enhanced by thinning. Further care consists in weeding, watering and loosening the soil.
