Large-flowered scabiosa is an unpretentious annual plant from the Vorsyankov family. The stem is straight, branching, up to 90 cm high. Basal leaves are lanceolate-oval, coarsely toothed, stem leaves are opposite, pinnatipartite. Small flowers are collected in capitate inflorescences with a diameter of 5-6 cm. Inflorescences are dense red, double, on long sturdy peduncles, which is especially valuable for flower arrangements. Prefers sunnier places with fertile loose soil. Propagated by seeds: sowing seedlings – in February-March; in open ground – in April-May, keeping the distance between plants 35-40 cm. Ideal for flower beds, flower beds. It stands for a very long time in the cut. It tolerates transplantation even in a flowering state.
